Diana Teodorovic from Serbia, and
Sara Xhaka from Kosovo, started their six-month internships in July 2021 at the Linde Headquarters in Munich, Germany. They are the honored scholarship holders of the
"Internship Programme of German Business for the Countries of the Western Balkans", implemented by the German Eastern Business Association (Ost-Ausschuss der Deutschen Wirtschaft e.V.)
This internship program is the biggest youth empowerment project ever implemented in the Western Balkans. Top students from all the countries of this region are selected to gain practical working experience through internships within the biggest companies in Germany. The selection process is long, taking six months through three stages. Still, it is worth every second of it because it represents a life-changing opportunity for any young aspiring professional, especially for youth coming from the Western Balkans.
Being a member organization of the Eastern Committee for Development, Linde is part of Germany's most extensive network of companies. Among other joint projects and collaborations, it offers internship opportunities for students from Western Balkan countries.
They both work for Europe East, where Diana is doing her internship in the Safety department, while Sara works on the Communication team.
They shared with us the feelings of their internship experience below:
